Update – AT&T’s website still says 6th of November, so the change of date appears to only apply if you were to buy it from BlackBerry’s site directly.
Thinking about getting your hands on the upcoming BlackBerry Priv? If you are, you might recall that carriers such as AT&T have announced the phone’s availability for the 6th of November. Unfortunately it seems that according to BlackBerry’s website (via N4BB), it seems that the phone has been delayed by a few days.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the phone’s release has been delayed to the 9th of November 2016, which is really just a few days off so we guess it’s not that big of a deal, but it’s worth taking note of if you are planning on purchasing the phone. It is unclear as to why the phone has been delayed, but apparently it is due to unforeseen issues that have popped up.
However like we said, the delays are only by a few days so we guess it’s better than weeks or even months. Given how much BlackBerry has riding on this, especially after some had called for the company to go with Android with the belief Google’s mobile operating system could be the key to rejuvenating sales, thus any setbacks could end up snowballing.
It is also unclear as to whether this delay will only apply to phones bought via BlackBerry’s website, or if it will affect those ordered through AT&T as well.
