When it comes to gaming headphones, gamers are probably more familiar with brands like Turtle Beach, Razer, and Steelseries just to name a few. However it was a couple of years ago that headphone maker Audio Technica got into the gaming headset scene and it looks like they are back with two new models.
These models come in the form of the ADG1x and the AG1x. If you’re wondering why the model numbers look/sound familiar, it is because they are basically improved versions of the company’s ADG1 and AG1 headphones from 2013, so if you liked what you heard then or if you weren’t too thrilled, hopefully these new headsets will be better than before.
According to Wesley Von Grabill, Audio-Technica’s National Brand Manager in Australia, “We’ve spent the last two years testing and listening to all the feedback on the original models. Now we’ve made the necessary adjustments to take both the in-gaming experience and clear communication to the next level.”
Both headsets will feature newly-designed 53mm drivers along with new padding that will make them more comfortable as well as providing great immersion. The base cable of the headphones has also been made longer at 1.2m and will have a remote control that accesses the volumes and mute buttons. Both models are expected to debut on the 3rd of December for around AUD399 (~$290).
