Apple’s mobile payment service is only available in a handful of markets right now, most recently the service went live in Canada and Australia courtesy of a partnership with American Express. The company would like potential users in supported markets to be well aware of what Apple Pay is, what it can do and how they’re supposed to use it. For that purpose it has published a new guided tour video of Apple Pay.
Apple Pay is currently live in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. The service will be expanded to Hong Kong, Spain and Singapore as part of the American Express partnership in 2016.
The guided tour video of Apple Pay goes through some of the basics about this mobile payments service, it shows how a payment can be made at a compatible NFC terminal by authenticating the payment through the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Apple Pay promises to keep users payment information secure at all times, the service does not share any credit card numbers or personal information with the cashiers during checkout, so users can be sure that their sensitive information remains protected during all of the steps.
The video also explains how users can set up Apple Pay via the Wallet app, it also provides instructions on how Apple Pay can be used to make payments within an application.
