Yes, we know that Apple tends to hire new engineers from time to time, but what makes this particular hire standout is the fact that his previous job was as the Director of Engineering at Reviver, a company that specializes in creating digital license plates. His current job puts him at Apple where he is working on “Apple Special Projects”.
Obviously we don’t know what his position and duties are at Apple, but given his previous job and the company he worked for, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that it might be related to the Apple Car. Prior to that, he also worked at Vision Fleet, another company that had to do with electric vehicles, and prior to that, he worked as a software engineer at BMW.
Safe to say that Braonáin has experience in the automobile industry and that his experience would no doubt be put to good use for Apple’s Project Titan. In any case since Apple has yet to confirm anything, this is purely speculation but like we said, given his experience and Apple’s previous hires, a lot of signs seem to suggest that the Apple Car is real.
