Game of Thrones season five finale raised more questions than it answers, then again, it wouldn’t be Game of Thrones if that didn’t happen. We were also concerned about the fate of that one particular character that we all love, spoilers ahead FYI, and HBO is not making things any easier for us with the season six teaser that it just posted today on Twitter.
The first promotional image for Game of Thrones season six has been published by HBO on Twitter. Jon Snow, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, is front and center with blood plastered over his face. Quite apt when you consider what happened to him in the finale.
Snow was lured into a trap by his own men and then stabbed to death, several members of the Night’s Watch didn’t like his plans for settling the wildlings, but the way he was stabbed left room for speculation. There is no shortage of theories about the fate of Jon Snow and looks like his chapter isn’t over yet, or else HBO wouldn’t do this to us because now I just can’t wait.
At least HBO has confirmed through this teaser that Game of Thrones season six will premiere in April 2016, it was rumored at one point that perhaps it won’t premiere until May 2016, now we know that we just have to wait for five months. That’s more than enough time to watch all of the previous five seasons once again just to get in the zone.
