Unfortunately that is the furthest thing from happening. A new report from AppleInsider has revealed that noted KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has once again reiterated Apple’s plans for a 4-inch device. However unlike previous rumors that suggested that the phone would be made from plastic, this device will be made from metal.
Presumably it will be the same material as the other iPhones, or maybe a lower-grade aluminum to help cut costs. It has been pegged for a 2016 release meaning that it will most likely launch alongside the iPhone 7, assuming the rumors are true. In terms of features, Kuo suggests that we shouldn’t expect too much.
This means that if you were hoping for a cheaper, smaller iPhone that comes with 3D Touch, you would be out of luck. Take all of this with a grain of salt for now, but Kuo has been known to be pretty accurate with his Apple predictions so perhaps this might come true, but what do you guys think? Could Apple really be planning such a device?
