2016 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel Has Impressive Fuel Ratings

It looks like those of you who would want to distance yourselves from the Volkswagen diesel deception scandal, and yet want a diesel ride, might be able to check out the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado diesel, where its fuel ratings are said to be rather impressive. We are talking about 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway for rear-wheel-drive versions, whereas the four-wheel-drive diesel models picked up ratings of 20 mpg in the city and 29 highway.

You can be sure that these are impressive ratings to say the least, and it would also send the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel right to the very top of the list where the most fuel-efficient pickups in the US are concerned. It has competitors too, such as the Ram that while being larger than the mid-size Colorado, can still eke out 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with rear-wheel-drive, while the HFE (high fuel economy) models will have better performance of 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

The delay in releasing EPA ratings was partly due to the VW emissions scandal that caused regulatory bodies to take a closer look at the diesel engines that pass through their labs, and it looks like everything is in order for the house of Chevrolet.
