The good news is that 1Password has recently announced a team feature. As the name suggests, this allows you to share passwords with people you want to share it with, like family members, co-workers, teammates, and so on. According to 1Password, “1Password for Teams allows you to share the convenience and security of 1Password with everyone in your life. It gives you the tools you need to control and manage access to your most important information.”
So how will this work? Basically there will be a dashboard that you can manage your team from. You can manage requests, you can send out invites to people you want to share your passwords with, check up on who’s part of your team, and more. You can also control which member gets to access which password.
There will also be the ability to allow users to log into websites without actually seeing the password, meaning that if you’re the type that tends to use similar passwords, they won’t be able to figure out your pattern. At the moment 1Password for Teams is in beta and because of that it will be free to test drive.
