If that is the case, then the Xiaomi Mi 5 would arrive much later on, taking into consideration that the Snapdragon 820 chipset itself could only be made available to manufacturers early next year. Should this rumor be true, then the Mi 5 will not run on the older and slower Snapdragon 810, but at least you know that having the Snapdragon 820 chipset would be a whole lot better, right? Apart from that, it has been whispered that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will also arrive with a fingerprint scanner, but that is nothing to get too excited about these days since just about every single flagship device do come with such a function at the moment.
Until something official from Xiaomi is released or revealed, take everything you hear about the Xiaomi Mi 5 with a grain of salt…or two.
