The Redmi Note 2 smartphone from Xiaomi was unveiled in China close to two months back, and it is time to sit back and reflect – just how has it actually performed in terms of sales? Well, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun claimed that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 actually managed to move a whopping 2.15 million units in the first month alone where sales are concerned, and this would also include the record breaking 800,000 smartphones being sold in a flash sale on the very same day in which the smartphone rolled out. Their next target? The Xiaomi CEO intends to see cash registers ring up 10 million units before 2015 clocks out.
Will Xiaomi be able to achieve this particular figure? Only time will be able to tell, although it does help a whole lot that the Redmi Note 2’s pricing has been favorable to say the least, where it was launched at the equivalent of $160 thereabouts where the 16GB model is concerned, while those who would like to double up the amount of internal memory will have to fork out another $50 more.
The Redmi Note 2 is touted to be a sturdy device, where it has survived both a water as well as a drop test. This is not a water resistant handset, mind you, so one should not go about bringing it with you as you swim.
