Streaming music constantly will no doubt eat into your data plan. If you’re particularly limited in terms of data, then music streaming is definitely off the table. However the good news is that if you’re on Virgin Mobile or if you’re looking for a reason to switch carriers, the company has announced that they are introducing unlimited music streaming.
This pretty much follows in the footsteps of Virgin Mobile’s parent company Sprint who last year introduced a similar offer. However before you get too excited, note that unlimited streaming will only work with selected music streaming platforms. This includes iHeartRadio, Pandora, and Slacker Radio.
This means that if you’re streaming Tidal, Spotify, or Apple Music, you would be out of luck as those services will consume data as per normal. However in the case of Spotify, that was Sprint’s offer from last year. If the abovementioned services aren’t what you’re using or after, then we suppose this deal is moot.
However if you don’t mind having an alternative source to listen to, especially when you’re not connected to WiFi, then perhaps this offer by Virgin Mobile could be working checking out. For the details and how to sign up, hit up Virgin Mobile USA’s website for more info.
