Microsoft has come up with a new adapter that allows you to use your Xbox One wireless controller on a Windows 10-powered PC or tablet, the controller will thus provide users with more choice when they’re playing games on the PC, whether they would like to use the controller or stick with a physical keyboard. It’s not entirely bad to have that choice available at all times.
The adapter simply plugs into the USB port of a PC powered by Windows 10 and then connects with the Xbox One wireless controller. It can then be used to play PC games or Xbox games being streamed to the PC.
Xbox 360 owners are out of luck though as this adapter only comes with support for the wireless controller that works with the newer console.
A listing for this adapter is already live on Microsoft’s website, it will start selling the peripheral from October 25th, and it’s not going to cost that much. $25 is all you need to pay to get the ability to use an Xbox One controller on a Windows 10-powered PC or tablet.
Many users might see the need to get this adapter given that the Xbox app for Windows 10 enables them to stream games from the console, and also convince them to update to Windows 10 if they haven’t already. It’s a win-win for Microsoft.
