According to a report from WIRED, Microsoft executive Panos Panay revealed that reactions to the Surface Book have been very positive, and while no numbers were shared, Panay claims that they are “huge”. Panay went on to state that the company was selling them faster than they could make them, a problem which we’re sure many companies would love to be in.
We expect that eventually Microsoft will share those figures but for now, things are certainly looking pretty good. So far based on the reviews of the laptop that have been released, they all seem to be very positive about it. In fact there have been benchmarks conducted which found that Microsoft’s claims about it being faster than the MacBook Pro are true.
The laptops are still available for pre-order via Microsoft’s online store starting from $1,499. Recently the company introduced discrete GPU options to its lower and mid-range models, thus making it more powerful for those who might need it.
