Surface Book Keyboard Will Not See Standalone Device Sales
The Surface Book, which so happens to be Microsoft’s very first laptop ever in the market, has certainly picked up its fair share of fans in a short time since it was announced – after all, the entire range of Surface Book configurations have sold out, now how about that? As for those who figured out that they might not want to pick up the Surface Book, but would rather obtain the Surface Book Keyboard as a standalone accessory instead, you would be sorely disappointed to find out that the keyboard base will not be offered to the masses on a separate note. Bummer!
Of course, there is always some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, since Microsoft mentioned that they do not intend to sell the keyboard base separately at this point in time. This does not mean that Microsoft will not change their mind in the future, which does leave one with a glimmer of hope, doesn’t it? Well, they will offer support for those that lose, damage or have their base stolen, making it sound more like a case-by-case basis than anything else – it will be interesting to see how they are going to track those stolen cases – will it require a police report?
