It goes without saying that Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens is going to be a huge blockbuster when it hits the silver screens at the end of this year. The question is, will it be able to top this year’s biggest opening in the US, which falls to Jurassic World, and will it make it to the top of the all time money list when the movie’s run ends in cinemas? Time will tell, but after a new trailer having been revealed just a couple of days ago, alongside its official poster revealed some months back, Star Wars fever is hitting a high pitch as December closes in. In fact, a legion of Stormtroopers have actually stood in a motionless formation on the steps of the Great Wall of China on Tuesday night, while giant billboards show off “The Force Awakens” title in Chinese.
Needless to say, if you are a Star Wars fan, this is one spectacle that will surely send chills down your spine. Of course there were plenty of Star Wars fans who gathered at one of the new 7 Wonders of the World, where they were wielding toy lightsabers (in blue and red, pity there were no other colors) and snapping selfies as you can see in the image above. The full video can be seen below.
So far, the release date for The Force Awakens has not been announced for China, but there has been an agreement with Tencent to stream all six films in the Star Wars franchise. Image courtesy of Reuters and Guardian.
