The second generation model of the RX1R would also boast of a retractable, 2.4-million-dot XGA OLED viewfinder, in addition to what Sony has deemed to be the “first optical variable low-pass filter in the world” – in other words, you are able to turn that filter on or off depending on the sharpness strength in which you would like to have when it comes to selected photos.
As for the fixed lens, it would be a 35mm (f2.0) ZEISS Sonnar T, which will not feature 4K video recording that might be a turn off for some, but at the very least, you will still be able to capture decent Full HD video at 24, 30 and 60 fps, whereas the ISO can be set at a maximum of 102,400 when expanded. The asking price is not cheap, of course, where Sony will ask you for $3,300 a pop when it arrives later this November. [Press Release]
