Sonos today confirmed that it’s opening up pre-orders for the flagship Play:5, the company has also confirmed the release date for this product when it will be available for sale immediately online and through retail stores in the United States and across the globe. Sonos says that it has “elegantly designed” the Play:5 smart speaker to ensure that it delivers the best possible yet from a Sonos product, that’s a big claim and customers will surely be putting that to the test when this product arrives.
“The new PLAY:5 delivers a listening experience that is closer than ever to how every track was mastered in the studio,” it’s claimed, with the speaker touting six synchronized custom-designed drivers and three mid-woofers to create smooth mids and powerful lows.
