Earlier today, we brought you word on how the next Street Fighter 5 beta will see the number of players supported at 100,000 gamers, at least based on the information translated from Japanese, so it might end up with one zero less at the end of this month. Still, we have received word that the second beta test will target the PC and PS4 platforms, where PS4 gamers can gain access to the beta on October 22nd, while those who are going to rock it out on the PC will have to wait for a couple more days. Not only that, this will mark the first time that cross-platform play will be available, now how about that as a drool-inducing enticement?
There will be half a dozen characters with which you can enjoy in the upcoming beta, where old faces are mixed with new names. Among them include Ken, Necalli, Vega, R. Mika, Rashid and Karin, although one ought to take note that Rashid will remain locked until October 23rd, while Karin is only playable from October 24th onwards. Those who were playable in the previous beta – namely Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Birdie, Nash and M. Bison, will no longer be playable.
Among the other features made available in the second beta would be ranked matchmaking, combined PS4 and PC leaderboards, player profile search and several unlockables which can be purchased using Fight Money. Are you ready?
