In a tweet by the carrier, they have announced that they will be officially supporting Samsung Pay, albeit somewhat selective. According to Verizon, Samsung Pay will only be supported on selected compatible Verizon handsets, which includes the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, and the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Other devices not on that list will not be officially supported, at least for now as things could change in the future. The feature will be enabled in an upcoming software update, but unfortunately Verizon is unable to confirm when exactly the update will be pushed out, so customers will just have to keep an eye out for it.
So far Samsung Pay appears to have been pretty well-received. Over in South Korea where it was first launched, they managed to nab 500,000 subscribers and last we heard, Samsung Pay has since processed about $30 million worth of transactions in its first month alone.
