Remember a few months ago we reported that Samsung had a monitor in the works that came with a built-in wireless charger? If this sounded like a pretty nifty feature that you would love to see in a monitor, you’re in luck because Samsung has officially announced that the monitor is now available for pre-order via Newegg for $249.99.
Now just in case you’re learning about the Samsung SE370 monitor for the first time, this is a 23.6-inch monitor with a PLS display. It has a brightness of 250cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a resolution of 1920×1080, a response time of 4ms, and will come with 1 HDMI 1.4 port, 1 DP 1.2 port, and 1 D-Sub port.
For the most part it is a pretty standard monitor. However like we said one of its unique features is the fact that built into the base of the monitor is a wireless charger. All users have to do is placing their mobile device on the stand to begin charging, with a built-in LED light to confirm when charging has been activated.
The charger relies on the Qi wireless charging standard so if you don’t own a Samsung device but have a handset or case that supports Qi, you should be able to use it with the monitor just fine.
