Samsung is not one to shy away from rolling out a fair number of its smartphones within a single calendar year, and while we have slightly more than two more months to go before we bid goodbye to 2015, here we are with the possibility of yet another two handsets – the Samsung Galaxy On5 as well as the Galaxy On7. While the former was put up on Samsung India’s website, complete with specifications and all, the latter happens to have its user manual uploaded only. Needles to say, the “offending” page has been taken down since.
From what was “caught” concerning the Samsung Galaxy On5, we do know that it will be an entry level handset that will come with a supposedly thin frame and bezel, although that does not seem to be the case as you can see in the image on the right. With a 5″ 720p resolution display, it will be a TFT LCD screen, sporting a fake leather back with a chassis that measures 142.3mm x 72.1mm x 8.5mm.
Other hardware specifications point to a quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, an 8MP shooter at the back that does Full HD video, and a 5MP front-facing camera. It is tipped to arrive in India for approximately $155, unlocked. Ah well, it looks like we will have to sit tight and wait for more details to arrive in due time.
