Rinspeed Σtos Car Gets Its Own Drone

Cars are no doubt getting smarter and smarter by the day, and it is no surprise with the kind of technological improvements added and thrown into the mix. It is only but a natural progression of things to come, that is for sure, and here is one particular ride that would make you drool over the possibility of owning one if the concept ever makes it to reality. The Rinspeed Σtos, it seems, will be a ride that has the added advantage of carrying about its own drone.

The concept of the Rinspeed Σtos is all set to be unveiled officially at CES next year, where the Swiss automaker and tuning designer claims that the car, when in “autonomous” mode, will see the steering wheel actually fold itself up, and to keep things neat and tidy, the very same folded up steering wheel will be sent away into the dash, helping keep the entire design more clean cut. Apart from that, the pair of in-dash infotainment screens will then move closer toward the front occupants in order for the to have a better view.

Not only that, it will have its own drone – which the company hypothesizes is able to “fetch a bouquet of flowers the driver ordered online and even deliver it directly to the lucky recipient.” Once the task is completed, the drone will then make its way back safe and sound to its own landing pad that is located on the car’s rear deck lid, now how about that? Makes it sound as though this is Soundwave of the Transformers with his Cassette Bots.
