Dubbed the Pokemon EXPO Gym, this isn’t really a gym per se, and unfortunately there will not be any real-life Pokemon or trainers for you to battle. Instead this “gym” is more like an edutainment facility in which it will provide fans with updates on the franchise, as well as giving them some tips on how to use certain Pokemons’ abilities.
It will also no doubt do a good job at introducing the franchise to younger kids, thus ensuring that despite the fact that it is getting a bit old, it will continue to have a fresh legion of fans. There will be statues, photobooths, as well as training programs like Charizard’s Battle Colosseum and Gardevoir’s Control Score, just to name a few.
There will also be rewards that visitors can earn for your Pokemon X, Y, Alpha Sapphire, and Omega Ruby games. There will also be an accompanying smartphone app that will show your stats and ranking at the gym for those who are interested and competitive about that kind of stuff.
