This is according to Chinese leakster Leaksfly who recently posted on Weibo that the upcoming OnePlus X would cost around RMB1,399, which when converted is roughly equivalent to $220. Of course that price won’t exactly be translated the same if and when it makes its way stateside or to other markets, but hopefully it is a good indication of how much it will cost in general. At the very least we can assume that it is priced somewhat affordably.
Assuming OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s statement from earlier this year is accurate, the OnePlus X will be focusing more on its design rather than attempting to create a powerful handset. Of course this doesn’t mean that the phone is a slouch, far from it. According to the rumors, the phone will feature a 5-inch Full HD display, a quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, 3GB of RAM, and a 13/8MP camera combo.
Like we said it’s not a slouch, but we suppose it isn’t exactly flagship material either, but we suppose we’ll just have to wait for the next couple of weeks to get all the official details.
