Last we heard, OnePlus was supposed to announce the OnePlus X on the 12th of October, but it looks like our speculation did not pan out. This means that the OnePlus X’s announcement is pretty much up in the air since we have not heard about any possible dates since. However there is a good chance we could be inching closer towards one.
This is thanks to a recent post on OnePlus’ Facebook page in which they uploaded the image above, along with the caption that reads “Beauty in the making”, and the hashtag “#PowerfullyBeauitful”. There is a good chance that OnePlus could be making references to the phone that has since been sighted at the FCC along with China’s TENAA database.
The handset is rumored to be the OnePlus X. The existence of the phone is one that has sort of been confirmed by the company’s co-founder Carl Pei at the start of the year, where he claimed that this particular device will focus more on aesthetics and its design, as opposed to merely being a powerhouse.
So far based on the photos we’ve seen, the upcoming handset certainly looks very different compared to the OnePlus 2. Whether or not it is “better” is really a matter of preference, but hopefully we will have all the official details soon.
