According to the new information that has made its way online, the rumored OnePlus mini will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 SoC with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5-inch Full HD display made from Gorilla Glass 3/4. There is also talk about it featuring a oleophobic and hydrophobic coating, meaning that fingerprint smudges and water droplets will not stick to its surface.
These specs certainly do not sound like the OnePlus X and very different from what we have heard about the OnePlus mini to date. The report goes on to add that we can expect a 13MP rear-facing camera that uses Sony’s sensor, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 3,000-3,100mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, and USB Type-C connector just to name a few of its other features.
So far we have got official confirmation that the company does have plans for a second phone for 2015. One was made by the company’s co-founder a couple of months ago, and another was made by a OnePlus exec last month, so it remains to be seen what kind of device we can look forward to. Until then take it with a grain of salt for now.
