In a press release with regards to the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting, there are some references that were made to wearables. This came up under the objectives of the company, in which Nokia basically wrote that the object of the company is to “research, develop, manufacture, market, sell and deliver products, software and services in a wide range of consumer and business-to-business markets.”
They then go on to add, “These products, software and services relate to, among others, network infrastructure for telecommunication operators and other enterprises, the internet of things, human health and well-being, multi-media, big data and analytics, mobile devices and consumer wearables and other electronics.”
That being said, that statement could just be made in general. After all with wearables being the trend these days, Nokia might simply be covering their bases. In any case it seems unlikely we will find out anytime soon as to what the company might be up in terms of wearables, but it could be worth keeping an eye out for.
