The Nexus 6P, one of Google’s latest smartphones which will arrive with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box and released close to the end of last month, is pretty much sold out – at least on the US Google Store. It has been listed as such there, and this begs the question – is the smartphone all that popular among smartphone fans, or is there such a limited run of stock that has resulted in such a situation? Chances are it is the former, as the third largest smartphone vendor in the world has churned out a pretty solid handset from what we have heard so far.
To spice things up, it is not just a single or two models of the Nexus 6P that has “achieved” the sold out status – all of the color variants as well as various storage tiers are also sold out. Hence, if you would like to pick up the Nexus 6P anytime soon via the US Google Store, you will have to be part of a waiting list, and look out for a notification as to when the handset is available again.
I would suppose a sign of a device close to being sold out would be to see the ship date for new purchases being pushed back, and eventually it might be better to have a sold out status so that customers will not be too disappointed with the ship date.
