It has been a rather busy week for Motorola, just a couple of days ago the company launched the two Droid handsets that are exclusive to Verizon in the United States. The company today announced a new handset called the Moto X Force, it’s basically the international variant of the Droid Turbo 2, same exact phone without the restriction to just one U.S. carrier.
Not only does the Moto X Force has no carrier branding it also has no bloatware, customers instead get a near vanilla Android experience because Motorola is known for keeping things clean when it comes to software.
So it’s basically the same phone with a new name that’s now coming to the United Kingdom. The biggest selling point of this smartphone is the ShatterShield technology, Motorola claims that the display on this device is shatterproof, and when CNN put those claims to the test they held up pretty well.
Moto X Force will be available via retailers and Motorola’s website by mid-November, it will have full support for Moto Maker. The handset is priced at £499 for 32GB and £534 for 64GB, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor and promises 48 hours of battery life on a single charge. The handset comes with Lollipop but it most likely will receive Marshmallow sooner its Verizon counterpart because the update won’t get caught up at the carrier.
