Customers on Republic Wireless will soon be able to purchase a pretty robust mid-range device that has proven its worth over the past couple of years. The carrier announced today that come October 27th it will start selling the Moto G (2015), it will sell the smartphone in both 8GB and 16GB flavors for a reasonable price though the pricing isn’t as competitive as it has been on Republic Wireless in the past.
Moto G (2015) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with either 8GB storage and 1GB or 16GB storage and 2GB RAM. It also has a 5 inch 720p LCD display, a microSD card slot, Android 5.1 Lollipop and will be available in black and white colors from Republic Wireless.
The main reason why people choose carriers like Republic Wireless is to save money on their phone bills, that’s why the carrier has plans as low as $5 per month for calls and texts over Wi-Fi only, though it does offer plans of up to $40 that provide unlimited calls and text over cellular and Wi-Fi both as well as 2GB of LTE data.
Republic Wireless will start selling the new Moto G from October 27th, the 8GB and 16GB models will be available for $199 and $229 respectively, slightly more than what Motorola’s standard price is for these handsets.
