According to a post on the Mirror’s Edge website, DICE has confirmed that the game’s release date has been pushed to the 24th of May 2016. This makes it about 3 months later than the original release, but we suppose it isn’t that long. The company claims that this is because they need more time to make the game a polished product.
The game’s senior producer Sara Jansson writes, “We’re building the most immersive action-adventure game with fluid movement and combat in first person. Mirror’s Edge Catalystwill be an all-new playground with a deeper and more engaging story – and we want to accomplish all these goals to the highest quality possible.”
“So we’ve made the decision to bring Mirror’s Edge to the world starting May 24, 2016. We will use these few extra months to make sure that when you step into the massive City of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it’s as entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it can be.” So there you have it, hopefully the delay won’t prove to be too inconvenient for gamers, but either way hopefully this will be the first and only delay for the game.
