A Dutch startup known as MINIBREW has just rolled out their maiden crowdfunding campaign on the IndieGoGo platform, where this is a rather interesting device. How so, you ask? Well, this countertop app-controlled machine will be able to make precision brewing a possibility, and the amount of time required to get the job done would be a mere 3.5 hours, now how about that? Of course, some of the other more complex brews will take approximately a week or even longer than that.
The thing is, the moment the fermentation process is complete, you will be able to enjoy a whopping 5 litres of your very own lager, stout, blond, IPA, or other kinds of beer. Makes it perfect to invite another friend or two over for a truly wonderful night of company and conversation, with your very own brew in the background, of course. The MINIBREW marks the first time that brewing, cooling and fermentation processes are all rolled into a single device, where it is connected via unique software that minimizes any chance for errors.
The whole goal is to hit the $100,00 mark, and when that happens, the countertop brewing system is set to ship out in April next year. Will it change our lives like Bluetooth connectivity or a CD player? Perhaps not, but it does offer a very interesting proposition in the kitchen for sure.
