Windows 10 Mobile will soon be released and Microsoft will certainly need new handsets to push the updated platform in the smartphone market, merely updating existing supported devices isn’t going to be enough. The company is already expected to unveil two new flagship Lumia handsets later this month and now it’s being rumored that it has a new mid-range Lumia in the pipeline that features a metal build.
There have also been leaks recently hinting at a possible new low-end Lumia handset, the Lumia 550, which would take the baton from previous handsets in this series and seek to bring in more success for Microsoft’s mobile platform.
Rumor has it that Microsoft is also working on an entirely new mid-range Lumia smartphone that features a metal build, not much is known about the handset’s features and specifications right now, but since it’s said to be a mid-range device the focus might be more on keeping the price down than offering top-notch specs.
Recently an unannounced Lumia handset was spotted on Microsoft’s official website which has led many to speculate that we might have got a premature look at this upcoming mid-range handset, which Microsoft is currently expected to formally launch to the public by spring next year.
