According to a report from Gadgets 360, it seems that Microsoft has a new Android app in the works which comes in the form of a dialer. Basically this dialer app is meant to do is offer a replacement dialer for Android, but in this case as you can see in the screenshot above, it could possibly be integrated with Skype which is what the report from Gadgets 360 seems to suggest.
The app is said to have been designed by the Skype team and will be exclusive to the Indian market. When asked to comment on the rumor, a Microsoft spokesperson told Gadgets 360, “As part of the ongoing improvements to deliver the best experience possible to our users, we are always innovating and occasionally test out new features and functionality on small groups of users in different markets.”
However they added, “We have no specific news on product announcements planned in India to share today.” No doubt this will be an interesting experience and we are eager to see how many Android users will be quick to hop on board this. After all Skype is a very popular program for making calls, chatting, and holding video conferences, so a dialer that can provide quick access to its features might be a welcome one.
