Meizu’s Blue Charm range has certainly proven itself to be rather popular, especially in emerging markets and developing countries. In fact, it has already seen a “membership” of four different models to date – and they are the Meizu m1, Meizu m1 note, Meizu m2 and Meizu m2 note, so let us put our hands together and welcome the fifth member, so to speak, to the Blue Charm family with the Meizu Blue Charm metal.
It must be said that the Meizu metal has been hanging around as a rumor for quite some time already, and in order to live up to its name, the smartphone – all of it, will be made out of metal, so you can expect there to be no cheap plastic bits and pieces here and there. As for its hardware specifications, it will boast of a 5.5″ 1080p LTPS display that is covered by a protective Dinorex T2X-1 glass with 2.5D effect, courtesy of its curved edges. It must be noted that NEG’s Dinorex T2X-1 glass is not only scratch but shock resistant as well.
Other than that, the Meizu metal will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 chip that sports an octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor, a PowerVR G6200 (Rogue) GPU and 2GB of RAM, and it will be accompanied by 1GB or 32GB of internal memory, alongside a microSD memory card slot, a 13MP main camera with dual-tone dual-LED flash, a 5MP shooter in front, a fingerprint scanner, and a 3,140 mAh battery. It will arrive in white, gold, gray, blue, and pink shades, costing $199 for the 16GB model.
