If you’re a fan of endless runners like Temple Run, you might be familiar with Lara Croft: Relic Run which is pretty much the same concept, except that in this case you would be greeted with a more familiar face in the of Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise. The game was released earlier this year and has proven to be quite a hit.
According to Square Enix who shared the numbers, it seems that the game has crossed the 10 million download mark across both the iOS and Android platforms. So much so that the company has decided to celebrate this milestone by pushing out a content update. This will introduce a new stage, new vehicle, new weapons, and more.
For those wondering how different Lara Croft: Relic Run is from your typical endless runners, for starters we suppose you could say it is built on a well-known franchise. It will also feature monsters that players will have to kill instead of merely escaping from. There will also be vehicles that helps make your run a bit more interesting.
There are also a variety of mechanics like running off walls that makes it different from the cookie cutter endless runner game. There will also be “bosses” that Lara has to fight, making the game a bit more action packed than one would normally expect from a game of this genre. If you’d like to get your hands on it, hit up the iTunes App Store or Google Play for the update/download.
