For starters, the Huawei Mate 8 is said to arrive with a generous 6” 1440p display alongside Huawei’s very own custom Kirin 950 chipset. It claims to be able to offer an unprecedented amount of power courtesy of a 16nm FinFET production process alongside a big.LITTLE architecture. There will be a quartet of Cortex-A72 cores that have been clocked at 2.4GHz, while the additional four Cortex-A53 ones will be powered at 2.0GHz, making this quite a beast at benchmarks.
Apart from that, the graphical side of things will be handled by the ARM Mali-T880 chipset, where it will be accompanied by an i7 coprocessor and a Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 independent audio chip. Not only that, we should be looking at a minimum of 3GB of RAM, alongside 32GB or 64GB internal memory options.
