Ever wondered what HTC’s motto is? Well, it happens to be “Here’s To Change”, which is rather encouraging when you think about it. In fact, this is what most of us should aspire to rather than remain the same, old boring self – otherwise, how are we able to improve? Having said that, it seems that HTC has yet another brand new model for the whole world to explore, except that this time around, it seems to have been revealed on the quiet, at least making its appearance on the HTC India website without any kind of fanfare – and we are referring to the HTC One E9s.
Do bear in mind that this is less of a variant of the HTC One E9, and neither is it any kind of upgrade that will see the device enter the premium range of smartphones, but rather, the “s” suffix seems to place it closer to a refresh of the HTC Desire 820 than anything else. It will come with a 5.5″ 720p screen (which is a step down from the Full HD display on the base One E9 model), has a thicker and heavier chassis, in addition to a slower chipset and a smaller battery.
Well, at least it is a step up from the Desire 820, and it does come with Dual SIM slots just in case you need to tote around a couple of numbers on a single device. And the 16GB of internal memory does not amount to much when you have just 8.5GB of user available storage right out of the box. I guess this is why there was not much announcement about it in the first place.
