HP today announced that it has updated its Chromebook lineup, the new Chromebooks come with improved hardware packaged in a thin and colorful design. HP Chromebook 14 weighs in at around 3.94 pounds and is just 17.8 millimeters thin while promising a battery life of up to 9 hours and 15 minutes with HD display.
HP Chromebook 14 has a 14 inch diagonal optional full HD IPS display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution, under the hood there’s an Intel Celeron N2840 processor with 2GB RAM and up to 32GB of onboard storage. Customers also get access to 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years.
There’s also a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port and a microSD card reader. Customers also get three free Google Play movie rentals and 90 days of free Google Play Music. HP is also offering 12 free Gogo in-air internet passes, enabling frequent travelers to keep connected in-flight.
The new Chromebook lineup from HP is going to be available for purchase online and through select retailers starting November 8th, 2015 with prices starting at $249.99. Prices for the full HD Chromebook 14 start at $279.99, the Chromebooks will be available in Turbo Silver and Sky Blue colors.
HP is also going to sell the Chromebook 14 G4 model later this month for $279, this particular model has been made particularly for schools and businesses.
