When it comes to monitors with built-in speakers, safe to say that we probably shouldn’t expect too much from them. However HP expects to change that with the introduction of the HP Envy 32 display. This is a 32-inch display that comes with built-in speakers courtesy of famed audio company Bang & Olufsen.
These front-facing stereo speakers will feature a 6-watt output so safe to say that it will pack quite a punch. In terms of audio quality, we suppose that really boils down to personal preference but if you think Bang & Olufsen is too expensive on its own, then perhaps the HP Envy 32 will make it more accessible.
As for the monitor itself, this is a 32-inch display with a QHD resolution. It will provide a wide-viewing angle and HP is boasting both consistent colors and clarity even if you were to look at it from different angles. It will also feature AMD’s FreeSync technology, which for those unfamiliar is a technology that syncs the refresh rate of monitors.
This is supposed to help reduce or even eliminate screen tearing and will result in a smoother experience. We’ve seen this introduced in other monitors and it is basically AMD’s equivalent to NVIDIA’s G-Sync which does the same thing. If you’re looking to get your hands on the HP Envy 32 media display, it is priced at $499.99 and is expected to be released later this month.
