With the Power Exporter 9000, the future for FCVs are starting to look even brighter than before. Accompanying it, Honda will also roll out its range of energy management technologies which will, fingers crossed, be able to contribute to the realization of a society where folks are able to “generate” and “use” energy and “get connected” for energy. To keep pulses racing, this particular exhibit will also boast of the Honda FCV CONCEPT, and as you can tell by its name, this happens to be a concept car for Honda’s all-new FCV.
Honda hopes to get everyone connected to their system, calling it a “smart community” which will comprise of Honda’s very own Smart Hydrogen Station (SHS) that comes equipped with a high pressure water electrolysis system so that hydrogen is produced, and the Power Exporter 9000 will help to enable power to be supplied from FCVs and EVs to homes and other facilities. All of this sounds good in theory, but can it be implemented in real life where everyone toes the line and walk under the Honda banner? I would say that this is more towards a greener community than anything else.
