Heroes of the Storm if Blizzard’s take on the MOBA genre. While one can argue that the company might be a bit late to the game, the upside is that with characters that many players are familiar with as they have been drawn from Blizzard’s various franchises will no doubt be a draw for many.
However if there is one thing many players are upset over, it is the matchmaking system in the game. In fact a player by the name of Srey (who happens to be the #1 rated Hero League player for 2 months straight) has recently taken to Reddit to rant about the system and how he continuously gets matched up with complete newbies. “Games are often disgustingly one-sided, with team compositions that don’t make any sense and players that are hopelessly outmatched. Whether you are winning or losing, the games are boring, frustrating, and honestly, a waste of time to play.”
This detailed post, which was well-written and provided a ton of constructive feedback, was noticed by Blizzard who responded in the forums, acknowledging that this is an area the company is still actively looking at and tweaking. According to Blizzard, they will be addressing the matchmaking issue and trying to help make players of similar skill levels match up more.
This isn’t the first time we have heard about this. Several months ago Blizzard released an update that supposedly addressed the matchmaking problem, but judging by Srey’s recent rant and observations, it is still an issue that needs to be looked at, so hopefully Blizzard will have an answer for gamers soon.
