If you’re looking to buy video games online, you have several platforms to choose from. You have Steam, which is one of the more popular options out there, you also have EA’s Origins, and you also have the likes of Green Man Gaming. Now if you’re a customer of the latter with credit, you might want to take note of this.
According to the company, they have announced that effective 24th of November 2015, they will be closing down the current credit program that’s currently in use. This means that if you still have credit with the website, you will want to finish it up before the 24th of November otherwise it will all be going down the drain.
Green Man Gaming explains, “We’re working hard on a number of new initiatives, with plans to implement a new loyalty programme, vouchers that can be used in conjunction with credit, and more ways to bring greater value and amazing offers to our customers. Given that we sell games in over 185 countries each month, we’re also increasing opportunities for the community to use local payment systems, all of which will replace the current credit setup.”
The website also goes on to note that gamers who can’t find anything they want now can also use their credit towards pre-purchases as well, so if the store has a game that has yet to be released but open for pre-ordering, that’s one way of using your credit.
