This made Translate infinitely more useful, and it looks like the app for iOS is gaining similar features as well. While developers won’t be able to bake Google Translate into their iOS apps the same way Android does, the app has recently been updated and will now support the Split View feature of iOS 9 on the iPad.
What this means is that as you can see in the screenshot above, you can continue chatting and see your main app window, while being able to copy and paste a translation into Google Translate on the side. That way your flow won’t be interrupted and you won’t have to keep switching back and forth between apps.
No doubt this will make Google Translate a whole lot more efficient and useful for iOS users as well. If you have yet to update the app, you can do so by hitting up the iTunes App Store for the latest update or the free download if you haven’t gotten it already.
