According to the report, they claim that their sources have tipped them off that the Galaxy S7 will feature a USB Type-C port. Like we said with more OEMs hopping on board, it does seem like the way things are headed and we shouldn’t really be that surprised. In anything it would be good news for users.
This because Type-C will allow for faster data transfers, and the fact that the connector can be plugged in either side will be a huge convenience. So far apart from the USB Type-C port, other rumors regarding the Galaxy S7 include a Snapdragon 820 chipset, possible use of the Exynos 8-series, a pressure-sensitive display, and it might even come with a single curved display as well.
Take it with a grain of salt for now but like we said, the transition to USB Type-C is natural and if Samsung isn’t going to do it, you can bet that come next year, there will be probably ton of other OEMs who will.
