If you have spent a lot of time working on your Vault in Fallout Shelter, chances are you don’t want to format your phone because if you do, you will lose your progress. The same can be said if you were to download the game on a different device to play it, even if you are playing from the same account.
However the good news is that Bethesda has since issued an update to the game where cloud save will be one of its new features. As the name implies, cloud saving basically means that your game and progress and details will be saved to the cloud. This means that if you were to install Fallout Shelter on a new phone, you should be able to pick up where you left off.
Apart from the cloud saving feature, the game has also been updated with Survival Mode along with support for the Russian language, as well as various bug fixes and whatnot. There is also a mysterious sightings update which according to the developers, “Some Dwellers are reporting strange, some would even say mysterious, sightings in Vaults.”
It is unclear as to what that means yet, but chances are we could be looking at more Vault situations similar to the roach infections. In any case the updated app can be found on the iTunes App Store or Google Play, so head on over to your respective app stores for the download.
