Last week Microsoft surprised everyone when they announced the Surface Book, making it the company’s first ever laptop. Given the positive feedback that we’ve seen from Microsoft-made products like the Surface tablets, safe to say that we were pretty pleased with what we saw with the Surface Book as well in terms of design.
That being said, it seems like we’re not alone in this. According to reports, it seems that many users were taken by Microsoft’s Surface Book, so much so that the most expensive option has already been sold out on Microsoft’s website. This is very impressive especially when you consider that the most expensive model will set you back a whopping $2,699.
So what can we expect from such an expensive laptop? According to the specs, it will feature a 13.5-inch 3000×2000 display, Windows 10 Pro as its operating system of choice, a bundled Surface Pen, an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a discrete GPU from NVIDIA’s GeForce lineup.
It is possible that because it is so expensive, Microsoft might not have made as many units in order to avoid sitting on such expensive inventory, but either way the fact that it has sold out seems to suggest that there is a demand for it despite its price tag.
