However Canon could be thinking of stepping things up. According to a rumor from Canon Rumors, they claim to have heard from a source that Canon could be working on a full-frame mirrorless camera. Assuming this is true, this would be a first for Canon which would also seem them compete against the likes of Sony who already has several models in the market today.
The rumors claim that it might be a while before we actually see it. This is because Canon is said to launch a higher-end APS-C EOS M camera first before the full-frame mirrorless, and given that we were just treated to the EOS M10, this means that it will be a while before another EOS M camera will be announced, or at least that’s what we’re speculating.
It is also said that the full-frame mirrorless would retain a version of the EF-M mount, but it is expected to gain its own set of camera lenses due to image circle issues.
