It was discovered through Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s trophy listings that there might be a “Realistic” difficulty mode in the game and now developer Treyarch has finally confirmed this as it gears up to release the new title soon, this mode has been developed to test players skills to the absolute limit. As the name suggests this mode gets quite realistic, players get killed even if they take just one shot in the game.
Producer Jason Blundell revealed to XboxAchievements that in Realistic difficulty players have one point of life, “so if you’re shot once, you’re dead. It completely changes the way you play the game.”
Co-op players then have to rely upon each other to survive as a group, “you end up respecting the level in a completely different way,” says Blundell. If any one bullet hits you or even a grenade goes off near you, you’re dead in the game.
Blundell also revealed that the AI has been entirely rewritten in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 so that it can make “independent decisions,” and that there will be more types of AI than the franchise has ever had before.
Hype generation for Black Ops 3 is in full swing, a prologue for its Zombies mode has been released as fans anxiously wait for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to arrive on November 6th.
