Now according to an announcement by Microsoft, they have revealed that they have entered into a new partnership with ASUS, which will see the Redmond company’s apps and services bundled onto ASUS’ phones and tablets as well. According to Microsoft, “The deal includes a broad cross-license covering, for example, ASUS Android-based phones and tablets and Microsoft software, devices and services.”
According to ASUS General Counsel Vincent Hong, “This agreement will give us both a greater ability to innovate for our customers. We see it leading to broad partnership opportunities for future technologies and a strengthened relationship between our two companies as leaders of the technology industry.”
While Microsoft’s apps and services have already been made available on Android for a while now, but with the bundling of these apps and services, it would seem like Microsoft wants to give Google’s own apps and services a run for their money.
